From Buren to Culemborg

From Buren you drive straight into the Betuwe. Soon you will be cycling through the Regulieren, a nature reserve where you will see flowery grasslands and hay meadows, poplar forests and willow pilot whales. Further on you will pass through Culemborg. In this town you can enjoy a historic atmosphere thanks to the many well-preserved old buildings. You pass, among other things, the Town Hall from 1539 and the medieval Lanxmeerpoort. You then cycle on the Beusichemsedijk along the floodplains that lie on the Lek. You pass a limit post here: a former border marker between the county of Culemborg and Buren. In Ravenswaaij you pass some old farms and the Reformed Church from 1644. You drive back to Oranjestad Buren past the orchards. Here you can grab a cozy terrace at De Pannekoekenbakker Buren.
