Your route starts at Gast Tweewielers. In the village center of Tubbergen you can admire the Sint-Pancratius Basilica from 1897 with its striking stained glass windows and sixteenth-century tower. The Eeshof used to be a manor house, but it was destroyed in 1582. In 1719 a new house was built on this site. A beautiful route along the water leads you further to Almelo: here you follow a beautiful separate cycle path along the Almelo-Nordhorn Canal into the city. Landgoed Huize Almelo is beautifully situated in a park, it is inhabited by the count family Van Rechteren Limpurg. The house was built in 1662 to replace the old medieval castle, which had suffered too much damage in the Eighty Years' War. In Geesteren you cycle past the medieval village church.
