Tour Gelderse Valley from Voorthuizen

Your route starts at Lounge 3. It is wonderfully quiet cycling in the Gelderse Vallei. In this flat landscape you have endless views. Historic buildings give you a glimpse of the rich Gelderland past. Just past Barneveld you cycle through the Kallenbroek area. Time seems to have stood still here. You cycle through an old farm landscape with grasslands, fields, streams and forests. The oak-lined Kallenbroekerweg itself is also a picture. This picturesque area is called Het Paradijs by the locals. At Terschuur you will pass Den Olden Florus, one of the oldest existing standard mills in the Netherlands. The exact year of construction is not known, but the first mention dates from 1403. The corn mill is still active, nice to take a look!
