Loevestein and Linge tour

Your route starts at BY't VEER. The route first passes the beautiful centuries-old Loevestein Castle. This fortress is located in a strategic place, where the rivers Maas and Waal continue together as the Boven-Merwede. There is beautiful nature all around, which makes the entire area a beautiful authentic whole. A ferry takes you across the Waal, close to the castle. You have a beautiful view of the castle from the water! Further on you come through the Lingebos recreation area. Then you can enjoy cycling along the Linge. From the dike you look out over the flowery grasslands and orchards along the river. The area is known for its fairytale orchards and picturesque dike villages. Take a break at the impressive monument Fort Asperen, which is part of the New Dutch Waterline!
