Round trip Reestdal near Dedemsvaart

From the starting point you cycle to the Reestdal, an idyllic stream valley for gourmets. The Reest is a peat stream that forms part of the border between Overijssel and Drenthe. You have a beautiful view of the strong meandering of the border river close to the starting point, near the peat village of Dedemsvaart. The former high peat stream is still very narrow here. Get off for a walk at the Drogteropslagen point,'t Dorpshuus: detour Vogelkijkhut (route: 23, 32, 33, 22, 23, length approx. 3km). The unspoiled character of this area makes the Reestdal a true paradise. The old thatched farms fit perfectly into the decor. The Steenberger Oosterveld is a park-like landscape that consists of a mosaic of forests, heathlands and cultivated lands.
