Sentiers d\\\'art, open air art

Fancy an unusual walk in nature? Want to be surprised by amazing works of art during your walk?"Sentier d\\\'Art en Condroz-Famenne\\\" is a new, attractive and unique hiking trail in Wallonia, which extends over 141 km in the Valley of Flavours (Ciney, Gesves, Hamois, Havelange, Ohey, Somme-Leuze) and is punctuated by 42 works of art in nature. 

These works of art belong to the Land Art movement that emerged in the 1960s. The artist intervenes directly in the space and the components of the landscape and nature. In order to work in harmony with the environment that welcomes him, the artist works with natural materials (branches, rocks, foliage, hay, etc.) and the installation evolves over time until it finally biodegrades. They are therefore very often ephemeral works. At Sentiers d\\\'Art, they are destined to remain for a few years. Whether the work is simple or complex, Land Art integrates with nature.

Sentiers d'Art is freely accessible, all year round, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to all non-motorized users.
The 140 km circular walk is signposted (red rectangle with the inscription "Sentiers d'Art". Some small family trails offer the opportunity to discover different works of art over 6 to 16 km and are not signposted.
