Tour of Needse Achterveld and Buurserbeek

Your route starts at Camping de Blanken. Nearby you can walk along the beautiful Buurserbeek, which forms the border between Overijssel and Gelderland. The Needse Achterveld is a beautiful nature reserve near Neede. It is unique because it is home to one of the last pieces of wet heathlands in the Netherlands. Among other things, heath and strawberry grow there, and on the higher grounds you will find old juniper bushes. You can relax wonderfully on a trip through this peaceful nature reserve. In the spring the wild gale blooms here (April and May), recognizable by its orange color. When you smell it you immediately notice the lemony soap scent. In the past, wild gale was often used to give a nice scent to a box bed. You walk back via the Buurserbeek.
