Tour of Lunteren and Celtic Fields

Your route starts at Bike Totaal Van Wijk Fietsen. The Work on the Daatselaar is a defense work of the Grebbe Line. On the other side of Lunteren you will discover a historic area: at the Vijfsprong, where you cycle past, you will see reconstructions of so-called Celtic fields: ancient fields measuring 40 by 40 meters. You will also find a reconstructed farm and storehouse from the Iron Age. A viewing platform offers a beautiful view of the entire complex. You drive straight through the Luntersche Buurtbosch. This forest was created around 1890 thanks to the estate of notary Van den Ham. You drive back via Buurtschap Manen, beautifully drawn in 1783 by Wybrand Hendriks. Neighborhoods used to be governed not by a local representative of the landlord, but by the 'neighbours' themselves.
