Tour of estates near 't Harde

With this route you will explore the region around Elburg. It is an area where open landscapes, cultivated lands, quiet forests and monumental estates alternate. For example, soon after boarding you will pass Zwaluwenburg Castle. The estate dates from the fourteenth century, the current moated castle was built in 1728 on the foundations of its predecessor. You will also find the visiting gardens of A. Vogel here. The earliest mention of the estate dates from 1326, although the spacious house dates from the eighteenth century. At the village of Doornspijk you will pass the Klarenbeek country estate, a national monument. The main building and the park laid out in English style date from the first half of the nineteenth century. You will drive back along the Old Putten estate.
