With this route you explore the region around Elburg. It is an area where open landscapes, cultivated lands, quiet forests and monumental estates alternate. For example, soon after boarding you will pass Zwaluwenburg Castle. The estate dates from the fourteenth century, the current moated castle was built in 1728 on the foundations of its predecessor. You will also find A. Vogel's visiting gardens here. The earliest mention of the estate dates from 1326, although the spacious house dates from the eighteenth century. Near the village of Doornspijk you pass the Klarenbeek country estate, a national monument. The main building and the English-style park date from the first half of the nineteenth century. You drive back past the Old Putten estate.
