Description

With this route you will experience plenty of nature and culture. You experience this immediately after boarding in 's-Heerenberg. In this picturesque village you can see the sixteenth-century Town Hall and the Boetselaersborg, a country house from 1550. You can also take a look at Huis Bergh, a moated castle that originally dates from the thirteenth century. In Zeddam you pass the Oude Grafelijke Molen. This tower mill is the oldest existing windmill in the Netherlands. It dates from 1441, perhaps even earlier. From junction 53 you cycle along the banks of the Oude IJssel. You pass Camping't Zwaantje, a little later you drive into Germany. In Emmerich you have a beautiful view of the Rhine from the cycle path. You cycle back to the parking lot via the German Elten and Stokkum.
