Tour of Middelbeers, Oisterwijk and Spoordonk

From Middelbeers you cycle via the Beerse Heide to Haghorst. You cross the Wilhelmina Canal, after which you drive north through an agricultural landscape. Here is the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen, a nature reserve where you will find a mix of fens, old stream valleys and forest. In between you drive through Oisterwijk, a town with a long history. You can see this, among other things, in the beautiful monuments on De Lind. From junction 45 you cycle along the extensive heathland that is part of De Kampina. Just past Spoordonk you pass the Chapel of the Sacred Oak in the middle of the forest. It is said that two shepherds found a statue of Mary here in De Beerze in 1406 and placed it in an oak tree. Via Oostelbeers you return to Lunchroom & IJssalon Meesterlijk.
