Bistro Belle is located in an idyllic location: on the Utrechtse Vecht, just on the edge of beautiful Oud-Zuylen. The area is great for cycling: you will find the Maarsseveense and Loosdrechtse Plassen, the meandering Vecht and of course the many stately country houses that lie along the rippling water. At Bistro Belle you can enjoy passing boats on the waterside terrace, you would almost forget your drink, lunch or dinner. Here you also have a beautiful view of Slot Zuylen.

The history of Drakensteyn dates back to 1360, when this castle was first written about. In 1634 Ernst van Reede became the owner of Drakensteyn. His son Gerard had a new, octagonal house built in 1640. The house was then recognized as a ridderhofstad and Gerard became a knight. He then also built a presbytery, a school, a mill and an inn in the village.
