Alphen aan den Rijn, South Holland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 2752678
Provided by: Oasen Drinkwater
Discover the area where your drinking water comes from! This cycle route takes you through the northern part of the area to which Oasen supplies drinking water. You pass two distribution stations that provide the Alphen aan den Rijn and Leiderdorp region with drinking water. Distribution pump stations receive drinking water from the treatment stations via the pipe network and then pump the water at a higher pressure to the customer. You will also pass the De Meije water tower. This is the last water tower in the Oasen supply area that is still in use for drinking water supply. Along the way you will pass sufficient public drinking water taps from Oasen where you can fill your water bottle for free with tasty and healthy drinking water. In addition to being positive for the environment, the sustainable water from the tap is of course also a healthy thirst quencher.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
