Tour of Lemselermaten, Zenderen and Saasveld

Your route starts at Stadshotel Ter Stege. The Twente countryside is wonderful to discover by bike. Then you can clearly see how diverse this area actually is. This cycle route takes you from the quiet countryside to the city, from one discovery to another. You will soon pass the Saasveldermolen (or Soaseler Möl as the people of Twente call it), which is located near a small nature reserve around the Molenven. This flour mill dates from 1870. You continue along the edge of Borne. Despite the proximity of the city, you will experience the typical Twente silence here. There are many traditional farms in the countryside. South of Hertme you pass the Grotenhuis, an originally fifteenth-century farm that was once used as a manor.
