From Reeuwijk you first cycle to Gouda. On the old Market Square you will see the sixteenth-century Herthuis and the Kaaswaag from 1670. The iconic town hall dates from the fifteenth century. Behind the Market you can take a look at the famous St. John's Church. You cross the Hollandse IJssel, after which you explore the Krimpenerwaard and Lopikerwaard. It is wonderful to cycle here with panoramic views over the elongated grasslands. You will also find characteristic old villages, such as the picturesque Vlist with its monumental seventeenth-century farms. Oudewater is the oldest city in the Green Heart. You will see beautiful monumental buildings, such as the town hall built in 1588 with a Renaissance facade. You make a pit stop at Café Custwijc, after which you drive through the Reeuwijkse Plassen to the end point.
