In the middle of the nature reserve you can take a break at the Biesbosch Museum Island, a beautifully modern museum with a visitor center. Here you will learn more about how people lived in the Biesbosch for centuries. This nature reserve is unique: it is one of the few freshwater areas in the world where there is an ebb and flow. Then you take a long tour through the park. From the dikes you have beautiful views over the wetlands of reedlands, creeks and swamp forests.
