Tour of villages on Walcheren

Walcheren is known for its beautiful coastline. But there is also plenty to discover behind the dikes, such as beautiful villages with a characteristic ring around centuries-old churches. After you have loosened up your legs in Vlissingen and the Nollebos, you turn to Koudekerke. Then you cycle along the Valkenisse Watergang. During the Second World War, this canal was part of a German position around Koudekerke. You drive through the village forest of Biggekerke, then cycle many kilometers between meadows and fields. In between you drive through the coastal forest of the Manteling. How wonderfully peaceful it is here! West of Middelburg you drive on the Rorikshilweg. Here you will see a characteristic Zeeland phenomenon on your right: a twelfth-century Vliedberg.
