Tour of villages on Walcheren

Walcheren is known for its beautiful coastline. But there is also plenty to discover behind the dikes, such as charming villages with a characteristic ring surrounding centuries-old churches. After stretching your legs in Vlissingen and the Nollebos, you turn off towards Koudekerke. Next, you cycle along the Valkenisse Watergang. During the Second World War, this canal formed part of a German defensive line around Koudekerke. You ride through the village forest of Biggekerke, then cycle for many kilometers between meadows and fields. In between, you briefly ride through the coastal forest of the Manteling. How wonderfully peaceful it is here! West of Middelburg, you ride along the Rorikshilweg. Here, on your right, you will see a characteristic Zeeland phenomenon: a twelfth-century vliedberg.
