The watchtower is a replica of the derrick with which Andr? Dumont extracted the first coal from the ground. It can be reached by stairs up to 25 meters. From this watchtower you get a nice view of the surroundings and you can scan the horizon to the slag heaps of Eisden, Winterslag and Waterschei.
