Your route starts at Pavilion Zomerzoen. From here you walk through Voornes Duin, a dune area that is unprecedentedly rich in plant and animal species. You walk straight through the dunes to the forest around the Quackjeswater, a dune lake. Thick old oak trees and many plant species grow here. It looks like a primeval forest. Because no drinking water is extracted here, the dunes are very damp. Hence all those dune lakes where numerous birds can be seen. You walk back along the beach to get a breath of fresh air with a view of the sea. If the route is a bit too long for you, you can also turn around at junction 81, before you reach the Quackjeswater. A walk through the dunes and along the beach is also beautiful!

After a day of cycling or at the beach, you can relax in the beach pavilion'Zomerzoen\\\\\\\\\\\' with lounge terrace. For a good glass of wine, tapas, lunch, dinner or a cup of coffee with cake. Also a nice place with children: while they are having fun in the playground or in the swimming pool, you can keep an eye on things from the terrace. Cycle from here through Voornes Duin and to the fun town of Brielle, or discover historic Hellevoetsluis. A nice beach walk with a stretch through the dunes is of course always recommended!
