Your route starts at Paviljoen Zomerzoen. From here you cycle through a unique dune area: Voornes Duin. Take a look at the Tenellaplas, dug in 1949 as a nature restoration project. A botanical garden has been created at the visitor center with the sand released. You will find all the biotopes from Voornes Duin here. The largely seventeenth-century fortress of Brielle is one of the best-preserved defenses in the Netherlands. Brielle was taken by the Geuzen from the Spaniards on April 1, 1572, hence the statement'Alva lost his glasses\\\' on April 1, 1572. Then you cycle to the harbor of Hellevoetsluis. Here you can visit the Jan Blanken Dry Dock, which was built between 1798 and 1822. Museum ship the Buffel is also recommended here, this is a ram tower ship built in 1868.
