Your route starts at Paviljoen Zomerzoen. From here you cycle through a unique dune area: Voornes Duin. Take a look at the Tenellaplas, dug in 1949 as a nature restoration project. A botanical garden has been created at the visitor center with the released sand. You will find all biotopes in Voornes Duin here. The largely seventeenth-century fortress of Brielle is one of the best-preserved fortifications in the Netherlands. Brielle was taken by the Beggars from the Spaniards on April 1, 1572, hence the statement'On April 1, Alva lost his glasses\\\'. Then you cycle to the harbor of Hellevoetsluis. Here you can visit Dry Dock Jan Blanken, which was built between 1798 and 1822. Museum ship de Buffel is also recommended here, this is a ram tower ship built in 1868.

After a day of cycling or at the beach, you can relax in the beach pavilion'Zomerzoen\\\\\\\\\\\' with lounge terrace. For a good glass of wine, tapas, lunch, dinner or a cup of coffee with cake. Also a nice place with children: while they are having fun in the playground or in the swimming pool, you can keep an eye on things from the terrace. Cycle from here through Voornes Duin and to the fun town of Brielle, or discover historic Hellevoetsluis. A nice beach walk with a stretch through the dunes is of course always recommended!
