Tour of Voornes Duin and Oostvoornse Meer

You can take a beautiful varied walk in the dunes near Oostvoorne. You walk through valleys with shrubs, among other things. Get some fresh air while enjoying the peace and quiet. From junction 11 you pass through Landgoed Mildenburg. As you walk along the long avenue, you can imagine that this was once a Baroque estate. In Oostvoorne you can view the restored ruins of the medieval Jacobaburcht, the country residence of Jacoba van Beieren. You can take a break at Paviljoen de Duinrand before walking the second loop of the route. This leads you along the Slikken van Oostvoorne and the banks of the Oostvoornse Meer. This artificial lake was created in 1966 by damming the Brielse Maas from the North Sea. Time for a snack at Paviljoen de Duinrand!
