Tour Grenspark Kempen-Broek from Weert

Between the Dutch Weert and the Belgian Maaseik lies a quirky nature reserve: Kempen-Broek. In this border park you drive through a succession of different landscapes. For example, you will pass through the Krang, where you will see deciduous and coniferous forests, coppice and old bolakkers. The Wijffelterbroek was once part of a large border swamp. A perfect area for smugglers, now you can enjoy beautiful views on a winding path. At the Pruiskesweg, get off at the picnic bench in the bend of the road, with a beautiful view of a fen. The Laurabossen is a former timber extraction forest. Between the many coniferous trees you experience a wonderfully invigorating silence. On the way back you have some nice views of the IJzeren Man, a recreational lake.
