Hiking at Heel

Put on your waterproof hiking boots for a figure of eight through Heel and the surrounding area. First you walk along the banks of the Lange Vlieter. This lake was created by gravel extraction. It is wonderfully relaxing to walk here, while looking out over the rippling water. At junction 92 you can take a look at the estate and the outbuildings of Nederhoven Castle from the road. In Heel you can see the Sint-Stephanuskerk, the tower dates back to the Middle Ages. At Resort Boschmolenplas you can make a pit stop in the restaurant before you start the second loop of your walk. This loop takes you along the Polderplas. Here too it is quiet to walk along the green banks. Ideal if you want to relax!
