Description
This route takes you through a number of picturesque towns that lie like pearls on the Maas. First you cycle to Wessem. You can still see many monumental buildings in this former fortified town. You cross the Maas, via Maasbracht you drive to Stevensweert. This town also has a rich history. What is special is of course that it is located on an island in the Maas. After cycling through Laak, you cross the Maas again, this time into Belgium. You drive via Geistingen and Kessenich to Thorn, the famous white town. You will find a unique atmosphere here. Take a look at the fourteenth-century Abbey Church and then drive into the countryside, where you cycle past flowery meadows back to Resort Boschmolenplas.
