Bergeijk, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 232685
Provided by: route.nl
You will find plenty of peace and natural beauty around the Brabant villages of Bergeijk and Luyksgestel. You start this route at the Deen, a flour mill from 1839 that was built on behalf of a Danish miller. Then you drive into nature. Here you cycle through a mix of forests, grasslands and fields. In Bergeijk you can get off and grab a nice terrace at Hotel Restaurant BEAU. From the village you drive into an area where several old fish ponds and water meadows lie like a pearl on the Beekloop. At the time of the Republic of the United Netherlands, Luyksgestel formed an enclave that was owned by the Prince-Bishopric of Liège. The name of the village still refers to this: it means the frame (a high and dry area) of Liège.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
