Nature reserves and canals
On the first part of the route you cycle through the Peelse Heide, a reclamation area with mainly Scots pine trees, and the Reuselse Moeren, a largely excavated raised peat area with heather and conifers. In Belgium you pedal for miles along two waterways: the Dessel-Turnhout-Schoten canal and the Bocholt-Herentals canal. At the edge of the rippling water, it is not difficult to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you.

The Ninth Zaeligheyt
The route starts and ends at Natuurpoort De Negende Zaeligheyt. Here you can enjoy a drink, lunch or dinner. Is the weather nice? Then find a spot on the terrace to catch some rays. Open from Tuesday to Sunday to eat from the menu. On Sunday evenings, in addition to the usual dishes, you can also enjoy delicious food from the wood-fired grill (by reservation).

The Large and the Small Circle
The Groote Cirkel and the Kleine Cirkel are located in the Peelse Heide. These are two circular roads that provided an important landmark for pilots during World War II. The circles are easy to recognize from a great height. The dimensions of the Great Circle are said to correspond to the dimensions of the Place de l\\\'Étoile, a square in Paris.
