Cycling route: 2319015
Provided by: Groots Genieten
You cycle your legs while you ride along the banks of the Western Scheldt. You pass Fort Rammekens, which originally dates from 1547. It is the oldest existing sea fort in Western Europe. Via Ritthem you drive to Oost-Souburg where you can take a look at the old ring wall. In Koudekerke you will also pass the old ring road, where you will see, among other things, the seventeenth-century Michael's Church. The route takes you through rural Walcheren where it is wonderfully quiet to cycle. Finally, you cycle many kilometers through the woods behind the dunes to Vlissingen. Here you can view the old city center at your leisure.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
