Description
This route takes you through the oldest National Park in the Netherlands: De Veluwezoom. This park has existed since 1930 and covers almost five thousand hectares. Take a bike ride here and enjoy the rolling landscape with heathlands and dense forests. Take the time to relax among the greenery.
Varied forests
A large part of the Veluwezoom now consists of lush forests. Centuries ago, these forests were mainly found on the edges of the current nature reserve, but over time more and more forests have been added. The forests vary from oak coppice groves to park forests, old deciduous forests and coniferous forests. The large heathland area that used to be found here is now subdivided into several significant heathlands such as the Beekhuizense heath. This heathland is grazed by Icelandic horses.

Beautiful views from the Posbank
This route takes you past one of the most beautiful places on the Veluwezoom: the almost 90 meter high Posbank. From here you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. In clear weather you can even see the hills of the Rijk van Nijmegen, more than 20 kilometers away.
