Cycling around Rijsbergen and Rucphen

Your route starts at De Menmoerhoeve, where you enjoy a cup of coffee before getting on your bike. Via Rijsbergen you cycle to Landhuis De Moeren, which dates from 1818. The associated farms are also a feast for the eyes. Van Gogh painted his first landscapes in the surrounding nature reserve. Further on you can take a break at't Pannehûske. Then you drive through the Rucphense Bossen, a forest area that extends to the border with Belgium. Originally there was a cover sand ridge here with heathlands and drifting sand areas. The forests that exist today were created when the area was planted with conifers in the early 20th century. You cycle back through Sint-Willebrord, Sprundel and Rucphen. This region still exudes a friendly Brabant atmosphere!
