Your route starts at the Véssumse Hoeve. From here you can walk straight into Vessem. The Molen Jacobus or Jacobusmolen is a round brick corn mill from 1893. The mill was nameless for a long time and was named after the former miller Jacobus Peeters during the restoration in 1986. The flight of the Jacobus mill is no less than 28 meters. Then you walk up the Buikheide, a forest area that was once created for logging. You will see conifers and American oaks here. You will pass the Groot- and Kleinmeer, two natural fens in the nature reserve. Because of the special flora, the fens are a protected natural monument. With its 19 hectares, the Grootmeer is one of the largest in Brabant. There is a watchtower that offers you a beautiful panorama.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
