Your route starts at Natuurkampeerterrein't Scharvelt.
Nature camping't Scharvelt is centrally located in the Achterhoek. You walk through a region called the Berkelland. The basin of the river Berkel is dotted with old hedgerows and lovely water streams. The route also takes you along the village of Haarlo. Just south of Haarlo you pass the Wolink, a fine example of a typical Achterhoek camp landscape. These"camps\\\" around an old farm consist of a small-scale mosaic of high fields, forests and standard orchards. On the Wolink estate you always have beautiful views of the monumental farm. There are more than sixty species of birds, a high number for such a small area. The old trees are ideal for nesting for the black woodpecker, tawny owl and nuthatch.
