Tour of Buren and Zoelen Castle

First you walk to Buren, a picturesque town that can call itself Oranjestad because of its connection with the royal family. Here you see the fifteenth-century St. Lambertus Church where William of Orange married his first wife Anna van Buren. Zoelen Castle (or Soelen) is a picture. The original building was destroyed in 1362, the current seventeenth-century house is located about 500 meters away from the place where the old castle stood. The estate in English style can be visited. Beautiful with all those historical outbuildings! Via Kerk-Avezaath you walk back to your starting point.
