Tour of Schoorl from Egmond aan Zee

Your cycling route starts at Bike Shop Egmond. From Egmond aan Zee you first drive through a vast polder landscape of meadows and ditches. Then you cycle into the Schoorlse Duinen. The dunes are among the widest and highest in the Netherlands. The forest was created in the nineteenth century because the residents of nearby Schoorl wanted to prevent their village from disappearing under the drifting sand. Via Bergen aan Zee you cycle to the nice Schoorl where you can enjoy a terrace at the bottom of the Klimduin. In the artists' village of Bergen you will see some stately old buildings. Then you make another beautiful loop through the polder, with a view of centuries-old mills. Via Egmond aan den Hoef you cycle back to your starting point, along the boulevard of Egmond aan Zee.
