Enjoy the natural beauty of the Beegder Heide. Don't fall off your bike when you see Kasteel Horn: it is one of the oldest, still intact ring wall castles in the Netherlands! Then you cycle into the nature reserve Het Leudal. The Leudal is intersected by the meandering Tungelroyse Beek, locally called the Leubeek. You will find a variety of wet and dry forests there. In Haelen you will pass the beautiful Kasteel Aldenghoor. This castle dates from the Middle Ages. Via the pleasant Roermond and the Maasplassen you cycle back to your starting point. In the Linnerweerd, one of the natural floodplains of the Maas, you can still see an eighteenth-century country house: Ravensberg.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
