Description

From the village of Sint-Maarten, you cycle along the historic West Frisian Sea Dike. Cycling along the winding route, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the expansive landscape with its grasslands, ditches, and reed beds. At junction 40, you'll cross an authentic pontoon bridge, then cycle through the Hagerpolder, passing the Groetermolen windmill. You'll pass through the village of Groet and the neighboring village of Schoorl. Here, you can take a look at the iconic high dune peak that lies practically within the village. You'll cycle through the magnificent Schoorl Dunes to the sea. Further on, you'll cycle along the Hondsbossche Sea Wall for a while, where you can get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the sea view. Finally, you'll cycle through the Pettemer Dunes and Zwanenwater, two tranquil nature reserves. Via the Sint-Maartensvlotbrug bridge, you'll cycle to De Wielen Recreation Park.
