Gasthof De Beiaard, just before the Dutch border in the Belgian Kempen, is a household name for Belgians and Dutch people who are fond of Flemish-Burgundy delights. People come from far and wide for the delicious, extensive cuisine, but also for the wooded area, and of course the historic Abbey. De Negende Zaeligheyt is located in the middle of a quiet area in Bergeijk. Wake up to the chirping birds and sit by the campfire in the evening and hear only the crackling of this. Because the accommodation is located in the middle of the woods and almost nothing has been built here, you still have space in this spot to enjoy nature and tranquility. In the restaurant, healthy dishes are prepared with regional products. Ideal as a closing after a nice walk or bike ride!

Traditional Dutch country goats graze the meadow. De Witrijt is an area that is part of Boswachterij De Kempen. Regional restaurant de Hofkaemer in Bergeijk is known for its regional culinary delights from the Burgundian Kempen. Here we work in a contemporary way with regional products, preferably seasonal. Asparagus, strawberries and game can always be seen on the menu here when the time is right. This is really a place to keep coming back to, also because of the menu that changes every three months. Try a regional tasting or a regional treat, where you will only be served regional products - after that you can get back on track as a walker or cyclist!

Grenswachter

The most famous windmill type in the Netherlands. Windmills were used not only to produce flour from cereals, but also to reclaim polder areas. Natural energy. The most famous windmills can be found in Kinderdijk, really set up as a polder model. A must see!

Kasteel de Broqueville

Postel 90
B-2400 Mol

This castle is located in the center of Postel opposite Postel Abbey. Baron Stanislas de Broqueville inherited almost the entire center of Postel in 1865. He commissioned this castle to be built between 1857 and 1861. He did not call in the help of an architect, but designed the castle himself. He is said to have been inspired by castle Leclaireau in Ethe in Belgian Luxembourg. In 1921 the castle was enlarged with the addition of two crenellated south towers. Over the centuries, the castle has been renovated and restored several times. At the time of the First World War, the castle was in the hands of Count Charles de Broqueville, then Minister of War. Today Robert de Broqueville is lord of Postel. He lives in the castle with his wife. The castle is built in a neo-traditional style.
