A figure eight along the Zoom and Saarsven

After a walk around De Zoom, you walk through Het Sarsven and De Banen. Here you will see untouched grasslands, willow thickets, bog myrtle and dry forests. The marsh harrier breeds in the rough vegetation and reed beds. You walk all the way around the De Banen fen. Around the banks you will find plenty of special plants such as bankweed, marsh stag's-wort and creeping marsh plantain. On the east side of this fen there is a bird hut. With a bit of luck you will spot the osprey that sometimes comes to forage here. Via a nice shortcut you walk between De Banen and the Sarsven. It is wonderfully quiet here, a nice place to recharge the batteries!
