Description
To Noordwijk and the Bulb Region
After starting from Avifauna, you drive via Leiderdorp towards the bulb fields. Fancy a pancake? You pass the new pancake farm De Hooiberg (near junction 81) in Oud Ade for a (lunch) break.
Along the bulb fields and Kaageiland
You cycle further towards Noordwijk and beach lovers can continue a little further to get a breath of fresh air or sit on a terrace. The bulb fields are still beautiful at the moment, but hurry because the bulb season is almost over. If you have the time and inclination, cross (junction 8) to Kaageiland and view the historic houses and shops as well as water recreation, catering and the impressive Van Lent shipyard.
Joop Zoetemelk and the white gold in the Green Heart
On the way back you cycle past Oud Adeselaan (40), where the statue of Joop Zoetemelk is located. It couldn't be more appropriate during a bike ride! Finally, you arrive at Aspergehof Noordam (junction 33) in Woubrugge. The store will be open again from the end of March, so fans of 'white gold' can indulge themselves here.
