Tour of Ootmarsum, Kuiperberg

Your walking route starts at Bed & Breakfast Erve Deperman. From here you walk to the Kuiperberg, where you have a beautiful view. Next to the Jewish cemetery and the water tower you will find a historic orientation table, a national monument. You used to be able to see large parts of Twente and the German border area from here, but trees increasingly disturbed the view. Then you walk into Ootmarsum. Ootmarsum is one of the most beautiful towns in Twente, mainly because it has managed to retain its historic character. Drop in at the Open Air Museum Ootmarsum. Here, in a park-like landscaped area, a large number of authentic half-timbered buildings bring the time of that time to life. The route takes you back through the hamlet of Groot-Agelo, where you can still see some characteristic Saxon farms.
