With this route you will explore the wooded Voer region, just over the Belgian border. This area has a character all its own. Just past Sinnich you will pass Obsinnich Castle, a charming sight. You will drive through the sloping forests to Sint-Pieters-Voeren. Here you will pass the beautiful seventeenth-century Sint-Pieters-Stoelkerk. A little further on there is another castle: this former commandery of the Teutonic Order was built in the Maasland Renaissance style. On the grounds of the castle lies the source of the Voer, the river from which this region takes its name. 's-Gravenvoeren is the best-known Voer village. In this ribbon village you will see many beautiful buildings around the old Sint-Lambertus church. From the village you drive through the Altenbroek nature reserve, the unspoilt valley is a paradise for those seeking peace and quiet.
