Your route starts at Hotel de Plank. With this route you explore the wooded Voer region, just across the Belgian border. This area has its own character. Just past Sinnich you will pass Obsinnich Castle, a charming sight. You drive between the hillside forests to Sint-Pieters-Voeren. Here you will pass, among other things, the beautiful seventeenth-century St. Peter's Church. A little further on there is another castle: this former commandery of the Teutonic Order was built in the Maasland Renaissance style. The source of the Voer, the small river from which this region takes its name, is located on the grounds of the castle. 's-Gravenvoer is the most famous Voer village. In this ribbon village you will see many beautiful buildings around the old St. Lambertus Church. From the village you drive through the Altenbroek nature reserve, the unspoilt valley is a paradise for those seeking peace and quiet.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
