Description
Cycling in South Limburg means enjoying the special cultural history of a unique part of the Netherlands. Occasionally it is a bit of a climb, but the beautiful panoramas make your effort more than worth it.

You drive into the Geuldal, one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands. The Wingberger mill, a water mill from 1844, is located on the river. Then you drive through Bommerig and Helle. Two picturesque hamlets where time seems to tick a little slower, a good way to switch back. Back at the Geul you soon pass Hotel Hoeve de Plei, a nice place to grab a terrace.

Gulpen is the next gem on your route. Here you can see the striking church tower to which St. Peter's Church was once attached. The church tower dates from the thirteenth century. De Plank Eating Drinking Sleeping is a refreshing stopover on the way to the border village of Ulvend. You drive back to Epen via the Voer region.
