Under the proverbial smoke of Rotterdam you will find beautiful rural areas. This route takes you from Bergambacht past Krimpen aan den IJssel and the Krimpenerwaard behind it. In this polder landscape you drive between ditches, ditches and canals. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here, also because you hardly drive through built-up areas. Via Krimpen aan de Lek you cycle along the Lek and cross the water with the ferry at Lekkerkerk towards Streefkerk, where you can relax at Café Eeterij't Centrum. Enjoy a nice cup of coffee with lunch and then leave for Bleskensgraaf and Brandwijk. There are no shortage of windmills along the way, making this route a typical Dutch cycling tour!
