Discover Postel Abbey and the beautiful area surrounding it. Around the abbey you will find a patchwork of lakes, ponds and canals interspersed with extensive pine forests. You start at Postel Abbey. This Romanesque abbey church was built in 1140 by Premonstratensians. Take a look at the old carillon tower, the former gatekeeper's house and don't forget to taste the Postel cheese in the abbey shop. During the route you cycle past Broqueville Castle. A little further on is the intersection of the Kempens Kanaal, the Turnhoutse vaart and the Dessel-Kwaadmechelen canal. Here you will also find the Sas4 tower. Climb this 37 meter high tower and enjoy the panoramic view.
