This cycling route takes you through Beijerland, also known as the Hoeksche Waard. The dikes in the landscape are centuries old, just like the mills. Windlust mill is a round stone mill from 1853. The mill milled grain on a professional basis until 1952. It is open regularly. The Goede Hoop mill in Mijnsheerenland from 1749 is also a flour mill. The Goidschalxoord mill was built in 1718 as a flour mill. Be sure to stop at the Hoeksche Waard Regional Museum, located in two historic farms that are adjacent to each other. The ground sailor De Hoop in Maasdam, built in 1822, closes the parade of windmills that passes you by today.
