Cycling through historic Amersfoort and along the Grebbelinie

You will drive into the historic city center in a short time. Here you can take a look at the beautiful Koppelpoort, one of the remaining medieval city gates. Just past junction 10 you cycle past Park Schothorst, further on you pass the Emiclaer Pond. East of Amersfoort you drive through a number of small-scale nature reserves: Hoevelaken Estate, Bloeidaal and the Schammer. On the edge of Leusden you follow the towpath along the Valleikanaal. This watercourse is part of the Grebbe Line, so you will pass several bunkers here. Finally, you cycle a bit across the Den Treek Estate.
