Cycling through historic Amersfoort and along the Grebbelinie

Within a short time you will enter the historical city centre. Here you can take a look at the beautiful Koppelpoort, one of the remaining medieval city gates. Just past junction 10 you cycle past Park Schothorst, further on you pass the Vijver van Emiclaer. East of Amersfoort you cycle through a number of small-scale nature reserves: Landgoed Hoevelaken, Bloeidaal and de Schammer. On the edge of Leusden you follow the towpath along the Valleikanaal. This waterway is part of the Grebbelinie, so you will pass a number of bunkers here. Finally you cycle a bit over Landgoed Den Treek.
