Description

You start this route at the edge of Park Nuenen, which enjoys a protected village view. You will see several monumental buildings, such as the Heilige Clementkerk from 1871. You can walk at your leisure to the countryside. Here you will pass the seventeenth-century Collse Molen, which was painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1884. From junction 77 you will walk a short distance along the Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path. Here, fluorescent stars have been incorporated into the asphalt as a tribute to The Starry Night, a world-famous work by Van Gogh. The Opwettensemolen was built around the eleventh century and has had many functions, such as a corn mill and tannery. The last part of the route takes you back through Nuenen, where you will pass a war memorial, among other things. At Comigo Lunchroom & Restaurant you can enjoy a delicious meal.
