Tour of Ankeveense Plassen, Diemerbos and Naardermeer

The first kilometers you cycle along the Ankeveense Plassen. This beautiful nature reserve was created over the centuries by peat extraction. Further on you cycle a bit along the Vecht. You pass through the beautiful town of Nigtevecht, after which you cross the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. Cycling along the rippling water of the Gein, you look out over a mosaic of meadows, pollard willows and monumental farms. At the Gaasp you pass the Community Mill, a polder mill from 1708. At House of Bird you can enjoy a cozy terrace and a delicious meal, after which you cycle through the Diemerbos. You will visit the city center of Weesp, where you can admire many monumental buildings. Then you cycle along the banks of the Vecht to the Fort at Uitermeer, which originally dates from 1589.
