This short route takes you through Delft and several nature reserves that lie along the edge of the city. Along the banks of the Schie you first cycle to the old city centre. Here you pass the Sint-Huybrechtstoren: a remnant of the medieval city wall. A little later you will pass the fourteenth-century Nieuwe Kerk with the mausoleum of William of Orange, a well-known tourist attraction. South of Delft you cycle through the Abtswoudse Bos. This nature reserve has only been open to the public since 2000. The path takes you along the Schie again, after which you cross the picturesque hamlet of De Zweth to the bird-rich Ackerdijkse Plassen. After a pleasant pit stop at De Buitengewone Theetuin you cycle via Oude Leede and the Bieslandse Bos back to the car park.
