The Four Days Marches in Nijmegen consists of four days of walking pleasure in the wider area of the city of Nijmegen. You walk through Gelderland, Brabant and Limburg. Every day there is a different place in the Nijmegen area.
The third day of the Four Days Marches is the Day of Groesbeek. The route is hilly on this day, culminating in the infamous Zevenheuvelenweg. This road runs between Groesbeek and Berg en Dal on the N842. Contrary to what the name suggests, this road does not run over seven hills, but only over four. This day the route runs south of Nijmegen on the east side of the Maas. Via Mook and Milsbeek the climb starts to Groesbeek. For nature lovers it is a treat to walk through the municipality of Groesbeek. Many walkers describe this day as the most beautiful day of the Four Days Marches. Halfway along the Zevenheuvelenweg, the'men in uniform\\\' stop at the Canadian military cemetery to pay tribute to the soldiers who fell during the Second World War. This is an impressive event to watch.
